Mother
Teresa opened her doors to students, staff and parents for the first
time September 2003. A unique students centered environment for the
inner city. The facility is an inviting, innovative and functional
inner city school for the Edmonton
Catholic School District. The design supports the educational and
philosophical objectives of the community - the result of close
collaboration between community representatives, the parent council, the
educators and the design team.

Mother Teresa is a K - 6 Core School with an initial capacity of 225 students and expandability up to 375 students. The facility's educational components consist of six classrooms with a number of ancillary teaching spaces including a Learning Resource Centre, one Gymnasium, a Music Room, and an Arts & Science Room (with Before and After School Care capability), as well as a Family Literacy Centre. A unified facility that promotes a sense of community.... | |||||

functional facility that will become the heart of the community. Mother
Teresa Elementary will be opened to the community for after hours use,
thus providing a safe haven for children. Our motto at Mother Teresa School is.... "....with children, comes hope" |
